Women's Fitness - 2 Drills to Get You to a Greek Goddess Level of Fitness!

Women's fitness has always been a misguided field in my opinion. Women have traditionally thought that intense strength training was for "men" only. The fear of "bulky" muscles has always been a false fear that has held a lot of women back from gaining their fullest potential in a lot of cases. I am here to help you by allowing you to make progress and not set you back. A Greek Goddess level of fitness can only be achieved by training with aggression and intensity. However, the more you do so the quicker you will see your results. Here are 2 kettlebell drills that will help you to achieve lean muscle and a fit body you have always wanted.

1. Kettlebell Front Squats: For this particular drill you will need a pair of moderately heavy kettlebells of equal weight. Set the bells on the ground between your feet. Next, squat down an grab the bells to clean to your chest. Once the bells are properly racked in the clean position then you will perform the squat. The key is to keep the bells loaded in front of your body as you descend. Make sure that you don't lean forward as you lower yourself. To ensure a full range squat try to lower yourself enough so that your elbows touch the insides of your knees. These are great for building lean muscle and helping you to speed up your metabolism.

2. Kettlebell Front Squats To A Press: For this particular drill you will need the availability of the same pair of kettlebells as mentioned in the first drill. Perform the usual front squats, but this time at the top of the squat movement simply perform an overhead shoulder press. Make sure that you lock out both your shoulders and elbows. Perform 8 to 10 of these in continuous succession to start. It won't be long before your body reaches Greek Goddess level!

Women's Fear of Strength - A Huge Misconception That is Holding Women Back From a Greek-Goddess Body

Fit-Woman-From-Back by stealmyfireFit at the Fountain by Swet!

Ladies, I am here to tell you that you can put your mind to rest along with your fears, when it comes to you not engaging in intense forms of resistance training and weight-lifting because you think you will transform into the Hulk. The truth is that the more intense you train and challenge your body the quicker you will see results. Yes, I said you will see results quicker! I shouldn't have to justify this statement because of my many years of education, certifications, and experience with all people from all walks of life, but to ease your anxiety I will.

To start, when I say strength training I am NOT talking about BODYBUILDING! Bodybuilding is a sport and a type of strength training that specifically targets training the body for muscular size. This type of training involves many variables and the people you see on TV and in the magazines that are bodybuilders are doing this as their full-time job with a lot of help from some form of chemical alteration. When I talk about you strength training I mean you have to tension your body with as many forms of resistance as possible in order for your body to be challenged and become fitter. Engaging in intense exercise and resistance training can mean several different things. Being that there are many forms of resistance training you can engage in exercises that involve free-weights, kettlebells, medicine balls, and just your own body-weight. These are all different forms of resistance training in which you can intensify to lose that stomach and get a nice set of six pack abs. Higher intensity exercise also promotes higher fat-loss and weight-loss than lower intensity exercise.

Just remember that you no longer have to fear strength training. If you have heard that you should fear this throughout your life trust me it is holding you back from getting that Greek Goddess body that I know you want!

Women's Strength Training - The Importance of Training With Intensity!

What were we talking about?  http://ryanowen.wordpress.com/
I ran across this nice picture on my good friend Ryan's Blog. Check out his blog above. Like me Ryan understands the importance of training intensity for women and ladies this little beauty above says it all! This is the result of smart training and motivation.

Yes, ladies I am addressing you and you only in this article. I have had to break down many barriers with women when it comes to fitness and strength training. I constantly find myself repeating the same thing over and over with skeptical women when it comes to my fitness and strength program. My philosophy on training is not a philosophy based on blind guessing. It has come from years of studying, training, coaching, compiling a series of principles, experiences, and field tested measures that have been backed up with scientific fact!

Years and years of training, education, and experience pretty much bleed the same result when it comes to people. If you really want something and are willing to make the sacrifice for it no matter what then you will succeed. The question I usually get bombarded with from women has to do with training intensity. Intensity is a good thing. If you have read any of my past material then you know the importance of body tension when it comes to building strength. You should then also know the importance of raising ones' level of perceived exertion when it comes to burning fat and weight-loss. Knowing these 2 particular variables training intensity accomplishes both! If you lift a heavier weight your body reacts to the load by tensing up. This is what strength training and toning are all about. You also exert yourself more when you do tense up, therefore you speed up your heart-rate and blood pressure and burn more calories. An example could be deadlifting a heavier weight, swinging a bigger kettlebell, or utilizing your own body-weight to increase your INTENSITY.

Now please use this lesson to apply to your personal strength program. If you do and plan your strength training workouts well I promise you will get those results! The only thing that I ask from you is that if I can make you this promise that you will make me your promise by telling your girlfriends.
