Washboard Abs - 2 Exercises That Will Help You to Get a Chiseled Stomach!
First of all, if you want washboard abs then it takes a lot more than just doing crunches to get them. You need to be consistent in every aspect of your fitness program all the way from the training to your nutrition. However, for the sake of this article I am going to give you 2 hard-hitting drills that you can add to your arsenal of six-pack ab development!
1. Thrusting Push-Ups: This drill is super intense. These style of push-ups will get your heart pumping and just about every muscle in your upper-body bulging! To execute this core strengthening drill simply get into an upright push-up position. From here you will want to execute a normal push-up. As soon as you ascend in the upward phase of the push-up simply kick your knees up to your chest so that you are in a crouched position on the ground. From here immediately kick your feet back behind you so that your legs are once again extended and you are back into an upright push-up position. Repeat the process with every repetition being executed in a continuous and smooth motion. This drill will be quick to speed up the progress of your fat-loss!
2. Push-Up Mountain Climbers: If you are familiar with the mountain climber conditioning drill then you can do this drill with no problem. This is certainly an intense drill to help you lose the fat. To start, get into an upright push-up position. Perform a push-up and at the ascending phase of the push-up simply drive one knee up to your chest and immediately extend it back. Next, execute a second push-up and drive the opposite knee up to your chest and extend it back. Once you complete a push-up driving each leg to your chest that constitutes a single repetition. To start, try to perform 5 to 10 of these in the beginning phases of your six-pack ab construction project!

Leg Power and Kettlebells - A 2-Part Workout to Develop Explosively Strong Legs!
Leg power is a true measure of both strength and total athleticism. In order to be fit and to achieve optimal strength you must have a reasonable amount of leg power. Check out this 2-part workout that you can apply to your personal program to get you the "pop" you need in those legs!
Part 1: The Double-Arm Kettlebell Swing: For this drill you will definitely develop some ultimate strength in your legs, not to mention a lot of other areas of your body. To begin this kettlebell exercise simply set the bell right between your feet. Perform a form squat to pick up the bell. Make sure that your shoulders are retracted and that your knees and hips are locked out. In order to properly swing the kettlebell you need to perform the hip snap movement in order to create the necessary momentum to swing the bell from between your legs up to your chest level. In order to perform the hip snap simply flex and extend both your knees and hips in a continuous and smooth motion. Make sure that your knees and hips are locked out at the top of the swing movement. Perform 30 repetitions of these with a heavy bell. When finished immediately transition to the second part of your workout.
Part 2: The Squat Jump: For this drill you will only need your body-weight. This drill is a highly effective exercise to combine with your kettlebell training and leg exercises. To execute this drill simply stand with your feet shoulder width apart. Next, start with a counter-movement by flexing your knees and hips and, at the same time, swinging your arms backwards when you start the counter-movement. In one continuous motion explosively extend both your hips and knees and swing your arms vertically to jump off of the ground. When you land immediately transition back into the counter-movement to perform each squat jump in rapid succession. Perform 15 of these in a row right after your kettlebell swings! For a beginner attempt to execute 3 rounds of this hard-hitting 2-part workout. Train hard and enjoy.

Speed Training With No Equipment - 2 Speed Drills the Athlete Can Implement to Get Fast!
Speed is a necessary element for today's competing athlete. As a strength and conditioning specialist I have trained athletes as young as 8 years of age and as old as 57! One thing that people have in common is that they don't always want, need, or have the resources of a fully stocked training center available at their fingertips. Because of this the one thing that they all need is knowledge! I have included 2 drills that you can implement that I have pulled as some of the knowledge of training that I have shared with athletes over the years. Check them out and give them a try!
1. Bounds To Sprints: For obvious reasons the only real thing that you will need for either of these 2 drills will be a flat open space. A field, a running track, or well-groomed park will work just fine. To begin, mark off a distance of about 50 yards. Start at the beginning of the marked off runway. After a proper warm-up you will bound with both feet progressing forward for the first 10 yards of the full 50 yard sprint. Make sure that you jump with good height and that there is no lag in your transition between each bound. Progressively bound forward for the marked 10 yards and then immediately break into a sprint for the remaining 50 yards.
2. Alternating Bounds To Sprints: For this drill once again start at the beginning of the 50 yard marked off runway. Of course, make sure that you are warmed up. This drill is a more advanced variation of the first, so make sure that you are very comfortable with bounding in general before attempting this drill. For the first 10 yards you are going to bound off of each leg while alternating them with each bound. These bounds are basically more intense plyometrics that will transition you into the full sprint. After you progress the first 10 yards then break into a full speed sprint for the remaining distance. Both of these drills are great speed drills for you to perform, especially if you want to be resourceful. Practice and watch your explosive velocity develop!
