Why a Simple Training Plan Can Be the Best Plan!

I have been training people to be at their best for a long time. The one thing that I have found to be consistent with training anyone for the first time is simplicity. You see it doesn't make sense to try to overwhelm anyone with an array of different exercises within any given time of a training session. As a professional I understand this, but I know there are a lot of people who probably don't realize this. They think they are getting the most out of their workouts, but in fact they are not.

You see even with an advanced athlete the proper program isn't designed based on how many different exercises the strength coaches can throw at the athlete. It is gauged on the intensity and focus of getting the athlete fitter and stronger! Why should your goals be any different? This is the key to getting the most out of your training sessions. To promote fat-loss or weight-loss you can easily design a workout around a couple of simple exercises with good volume and good intensity to squeeze the MOST effort out of the workout. Doing something as simple as squats and walking stairs in a round combination is enough to wear out most people in a 45 minute time limit. This is nothing elaborate and doesn't require the usage of some shiny new piece of equipment and a costly gym membership.

The key to your success is in the simplicity and intensity of what you are doing. If you are a novice just pick a couple of total-body exercises that you can repetitively do with good form and technique to start out. Once you master these then worry about fine-tuning your program.

Shed the Pounds - 2 Drills to Get Rid of Your Waistline!

In order to shed the pounds you must do more than just exercise, you must exercise effectively! Weight-loss or fat-loss can only occur if you are burning more calories than you are taking in. This is done by you speeding up your metabolism. The only way to speed up your metabolism is to have a well structured nutrition and exercise plan! Here are 2 drills that you can implement in order to achieve the fitness level and body you desire!

Squat and Jump: This basically consist of a combined couple of movements that are designed to wake your body up! In other words, if you want to lose the weight the best way to do it through your exercise is to perform movements that consist of short burst of intense movements. With this particular drill you are going to properly perform a squat and a jump in combination.

Start by standing with your feet shoulder width apart. Perform a proper squat and allow your arms to swing back as your butt and hips sit back. Go to a squat depth to where your thighs are parallel to the ground. From here immediately come out of your squat and immediately squat again making sure that again your arms swing back with your hips. This time when you come out of the squat execute a vertical jump by triple extending at your ankles, knees, and hips! Basically you are squatting first and then immediately performing a squat jump. Repeat this process over and over in rapid succession until you complete your set.

Squat and Push-Up Combination: From here you will simply perform proper body-weight squats as explained in the first drill. Attempt to execute the squats in rapid succession and with good form. Perform 50 of these in a row. As soon as you are finished immediately drop down into an upright push-up position and once again attempt to reel off 50 form perfect push-ups! This is a sure way to help you get in shape fast.

No Exercise Equipment, No Problem!

Most people don't like to think of body-weight training as an effective means to workout. Those people that think that way are very ignorant. For starters, I have seen many tough guys beg for mercy during an arsenal of body-weight circuits. The truth is that you can utilize your body's resistance to obtain massive fitness results.

Push-up by chakkababy

To begin, I want to talk about a highly effective circuit that you can perform with your own body-weight that will drastically speed up your fat-loss and weight-loss progress. All you will need for this circuit is a flat open space, your own body, and the willingness to work! No equipment, no problem. To start, you are going to perform 5 different exercises totaling 50 repetitions. The objective is to go from one exercise to the next without any rest in between. Once you complete the 5 exercises then you have completed one cycle. The first exercise you will perform will be normal push-ups. Execute 10 and then transition to the next drill. From the push-ups you will want to perform thrusting push-ups. These are executed by you doing a normal push-up and thrusting your knees up underneath your body and then thrusting them back until your body is extended to perform another push-up. You will perform 10 of these and then immediately transition into a series of squat thrusts. From squat thrusts simply start executing burpees for 10 reps. Finally, finish up with executing burpees with a vertical jump at the very end for the final 10 reps. This is 50 total reps of a body-weight circuit that I guarantee will give you a workout! Just make sure that you keep each drill for 10 reps.

Like I said most people don't think of standing body-weight drills as being an effective workout. I dare you to try this circuit for about 3 cycles and then come and tell me that it's not effective! Keep training hard my friends.

Women's Health - 3 Reasons Women Should Train With Kettlebells!

Ladies it is no secret that exercise improves everyone's health and total well-being. However, the term "exercise" can be used rather loosely when referring to what really works in terms of your OPTIMAL health and fitness!

For starters, if you consider exercise taking a stroll around the block with your friend, family member, or neighbor then you would be right. This is no doubt a form of exercise, but the question is "Is this considered exercise that would be OPTIMAL for your health?" I want to introduce to you an ancient device that has been field tested and proven for supreme human health, fitness, and strength for over three centuries; the kettlebell. Check out the following 3 reasons as to why you should train with this ancient device.

AH Swings KB by ReActive GymCCX2 by ReActive Gym

1. Superior Strength: Ladies, I often find that women get a bit "nervous" or are "turned off" whenever I mention a word or phrase like superior strength. The fact is that strength is the necessary trait for anyone to perform any given task. Without strength you cannot effectively perform work and therefore you cannot get the most out of your fitness program. Kettlebells are a tremendous tool for you to achieve strength and total-body control giving you an optimal level of it for you to be as fit as possible. I'm not talking about bodybuilding or trying to build "big" muscles. Even if I was the female body doesn't develop those huge muscles because the female body is incapable of doing so without a direct aid from some outside agent. Female bodybuilders train specifically for that very purpose to be huge, but the fact is that there aren't many of them around and most of them use some performance enhancing agent to aid them with gaining that look. Strength is your goal here.

2. Superior Cardiovascular Fitness: The kettlebell certainly will build you a heart that can be as strong as the heart of a lion. This is a massively important detail concerning your health, because of the increasing number of heart health issues that develop in women later on in life. When you swing the kettlebell for the first time you will quickly see just how your heart can become as strong and fit as any other part of your body. Weight-loss, fat-loss, and the doctor telling you that your resting heart rate and blood pressure numbers are that of a competing athlete can feel just as good as fitting into to those old pair of pants! Trust me, you will appreciate this reason especially if you have to look your husband and kids in the face to give them the news after you leave the office. Which doctor's report would you prefer to give them, the good one or the bad one?

3. Strong Bones: Well, if you are approaching a certain time in your life where "the big change" is around the corner then you are probably aware of the infamous condition of osteoporosis. This reason should really motivate you. Kettlebells are a tremendous body strengthening tool. We now know that PROPER strength training can actually build stronger bones with the stronger muscles. Not only can strength training reduce the risk of osteoporosis, but it can actually REVERSE the process in some cases. Kettlebell exercises, when done properly, can be a woman's best friend when it comes down to what matters! Ladies what matters is your health. Give it a try and you won't be disappointed!

Lose the Inches Now - 2 Exercises to Help You Shrink Your Waistline!

Topless brunette with fit body on the floor by junxiuSexy fit woman by ModelHerbs.com

Are you tired of getting out of breath or getting lightheaded when you bend over to tie your shoes? Do you want to lose some inches off of your waistline? If so then you need to implement the following 2 drills into your personal program.

1. Kettlebell Bear Crawls: This is a very intense kettlebell training exercise that is sure to get you into fat burn mode. To execute this drill you will need the availability of a set of kettlebells of equal weight and an open flat field. Mark off a distance of about 10 to 20 yards depending on your desired work intensity. Next, get into an upright push-up position with a kettlebell in each hand and with your body stabilized with the bells. From here move forward by crawling with your arms by lifting the bells off of the ground moving forward placing one in front of the other. Keep your legs straight and only torque your hips back and forth to help your progress. This kettlebell workout routine will terminate your waistline!

2. Walking Lunge Jumps: For this lower body exercise you will also need the availability of a flat open field. Once again mark off a distance of about 20 yards. From here you just want to execute a typical walking lunge. Now the only difference is that once you step forward with the lead leg for the walking lunge come out of it and explosively jump off of the lead leg and land with both feet in front of you. Make sure that you land by squatting to absorb the impact and that you land heel to toe. Both feet should be shoulder width distance apart upon landing. From here simply start with the opposite leg for the next repetition. This is one of the best lower body workouts you can do.

You will find that both of these drills will promote a significant amount of fat-loss and will melt the inches off of your waistline. Practice the drills often and flawlessly in order to build your strength to get the most out of the movement!
