Serious Cycling - The Single Best Strength Training Exercise For Cyclers!

If you are a serious cyclist then you know that you must have a powerful body along with a well conditioned one to be competitive. Your muscles for cycling have to be both conditioned for endurance and total body strength. Check out the following single lift workout that I have included below to kick your cycling program into high gear!

I would like to introduce to you the kettlebell swing. Kettlebells are definitely the top strength and conditioning tool on the rise here in the U.S. For my Russian and European friends you know exactly how valuable this ancient tool is for the competitive athlete. The kettlebell swing is a single lift that trains hundreds of muscles at one time in order to condition your body for both extraordinary muscular endurance and superior cardiovascular fitness. If you are a cyclist then this is exactly what you need for your training program.

The double arm kettlebell swing is the base strength endurance lift that is done by you swinging it from between your legs up to chest height. This is done by you performing a move known as the hip snap. The hip snap is done by fluently and consistently flexing and extending at both your hips and knees. This motion creates the necessary momentum in order for you to effectively swing the iron ball back and forth in continuous motion. After a couple of hundred of these with a kettlebell of moderate resistance you will find out just how much of an impact this strength endurance can have on your exercise program.

If you want to be competitive and pull out all of the stops then this is your ticket my friend. Take the time to access the rest of my articles and learn more about the hard hitting kettlebell! Train hard and enjoy my friend.
