Weight Loss With Kettlebells - 2 Great Drills to Get Rid of Unwanted Pounds!

If you want to mix up your personal fitness program and stimulate your body to lose those unwanted pounds then you need give these 2 simple kettlebell drills a try. A prerequisite lift with the kettlebell before leading into and executing other lifts is known as the clean. The term "clean" means that the weightlifter or kettlebell man or woman cleans the weight by lifting the weight from the ground to chest level in one "clean" movement. This is the origin of the term. The following 2 drills that will help you to eliminate those extra pounds require executing the clean lift beforehand.

1. The Clean and Press: For the sake of the article I am only addressing the use of a single kettlebell. To start this lift simply perform the clean bringing the bell to your chest. From here press the weight above your head without the use of your hips for assistance. This lift is not a "jerk" type of motion, but rather a more straight strength movement. Once you press it then lower it back to your chest level (keeping the bell in front of you) and squat to place it back to the ground. Repeat the motion and execute about 10 constant smooth reps on each side.

2. The Clean and Walkout Push-Up: This drill will certainly help you to speed up your weight-loss campaign. To start, clean the bell to your chest and immediately lower it back to the ground. Once you place the kettlebell on the ground then simply squat back down placing your hands on the ground in front of you. Once here then you will want to walkout on your hands until your body is fully extended into an upright push-up position. Execute a push-up and then immediately walk back with your hands until you are standing erect back into the position where you started the drill. All of this is considered a single repetition. To kick your personal strength and weight-loss program up a notch execute about 10 of these on each side of your body!
